Final Fourth Eclipse of Tetrad Moon Fuels Power of Four

Who are the Werewolves of the Tetrad and what are their Powers of 4 on the Fourth Supermoon?

Tetrad supermoon brings the power of four.

Tetrad Supermoon fuels the powers – and weaknesses – of 4.

Maybe you’ve met a Tetrad Werewolf without knowing… or maybe you are one of them…

The Werewolves of the Tetrad keep their identities secret from all except each other. Nobody knows for sure their individual identities nor how many of them really exist.

This is because the Tetrad Werewolves know all too well about the deadly forces working to prevent them from fuelling their powers of four. Forces especially hard at work right now, trying to prevent them uniting on the final blood moon of the Tetrad Event at the end of this month.

As a werewolf you’ve felt the power of the epochal Tetrad Event – four blood moons in a row, separated by 6 months exactly, ending on the September Supermoon.

It happens only once a millennium and its power to all werewolves cannot be denied.

But for a certain number of werewolves, sometimes known as the Werewolves of the Tetrad, or the Tetrads, this event has even more significant.

Many rumours and myths surround these werewolves, about their Tetradic powers and weaknesses as well as their habits and customs. For example:

The Tetrads together have four times the strength, speed and power.

The Tetrads only survive and thrive by multiples of four. In other words, when one of the Tetrad goes down, they all fall.

Tetrad powers peak around occasions of four, including: 4:44, 4th days, 4th months, 4th floors… even the 4th dimension.

In Asia the Tetrads can travel together through the realms of the undead.

How many of these beliefs will prove true and how many fiction you may discover on the supermoon of September 27 and 28.

Werewolves of the Mini-Moon

Have you been looking for the werewolves of the mini-moon? Then you’ll have to look very hard tonight because tonight of all nights, these werewolves know how to not be seen.

This is not due to any special invisibility power nor technologies that some other werewolves possess, you understand, but for one small lucky - or unlucky! reason…

Werewolves of the mini-moon

Werewolves of the mini-moon

(Whether you see it as lucky or unlucky, will depend on your point of view about such things.)

A small reason because it’s all about one  very small power, gained by a wish once won from the leprechaun.

Now the exact details of this wish have been muddied with time and retelling but the core truth of it remains unchanged. A Wind Werewolf once freed a very important leprechaun trapped at the height of the mini-moon. A leprechaun king or queen who gave that werewolf and his kind the sometimes power of small bound to the March mini-moon.

(Although many tellers insist that leprechauns, who are very anti-monarchy, never, ever had kings or queens and it was not a Wind Werewolf but a Singing Werewolf who freed them.)

(All tellers generally agree that it could never have been a Death Werewolf.)

Whatever the case, this happened back in the days of powerful kings and queens and shiny pennies, when the practice of leprechaun trapping was commonplace.

Back then almost everyone learned how to build a functioning leprechaun trap. Or they tried, at least. The truth is that these traps rarely if ever functioned, Leprechauns being much better at springing traps than most people will ever be at building them. People believed, you see, that a trapped leprechaun must grant you one powerful wish. Anything you could wish. While this may or may not true, people believed it and the trapping of leprechauns became at once a global pursuit — a sport, an art, even a profession. Or leprechaunage,as it came to be known.

On a mini-moon like tonight, all of this leprechaun trapping reaches an annual frenzy. This of course makes perfect sense. Leprechauns rule the mini-moon, for those two short nights when the moon is smallest seen. Or at least they want to rule it, that much is perfectly clear. It’s the main reason why St. Patrick’s Day is set to the month of March.

A fact well-known to would-be leprechaun trappers or leprechauneurs as they were sometimes called. On the mini-moon, leprechauns are legion – and distracted, armed with elaborate schemes and plans to build their mini-empires beyond the mere draining of pocket change and wishing wells. Far beyond magic sofas and shoes. Plans that go as big and far as the moon itself.

But this is not a story about leprechauns but a story about a werewolf who once wished for the power of small after saving a trapped leprechaun trap at the height of the mini-moon.

Some werewolves think it was an accident or a leprechaun joke. What werewolf would want to be transformed into the littlest lycanthrope that you could imagine whenever the mini-moon rises?

They say that the werewolf in question must have trapped into wishing this way. That the werewolf was just trying to counsel an unlucky leprechaun to be happy about their small size by saying something like, “Hey, small is powerful too! I wish that I could be smaller sometimes!”

To which the crafty leprechaun would have said something like, “Done! Your wish is granted. From now on , you and your kind will be find the power of small at your beck and call, under the mini-moon.

And that’s how it happened. More or less.

BLACK MOON BRINGS AKASHAN CHAOS WEREWOLVES

Black Moon Rising Chaos Werewolves Rule

When a Black Moon slivers the night sky, Chaos Werewolves from many clans prepare to find the new initiates and gather them together. BlackMoon

If you are a Chaos Werewolf then you already know what it means to be a member of an Akasha Guild.

No Akasha guild will permit you to divulge your secrets, not even to your own clan.

You know it means you are among those who train their whole lives to harness the powers of the Chaos and Void. You must tell your clan to trust that when you assemble with the Akashas under this Black Moon, you will be studying advanced scientific arts and performing certain rituals that will make you a better member of your clan, no matter what your position.

But that won’t stop them from asking. Others want to know more about the mysterious Chaos Werewolves who transform unexpectedly on the Black Moons to be recruited by the Akasha guilds. So what can you tell others?

Maybe you can describe how you always thought you were one kind of werewolf for the longest time and how confusing it was when your moon would come and go and leave you alone in the den, still human. You always felt, well, different than other werewolves and you never knew why.

Maybe it was your intense yearning to see the invisible, feel the untouchable and know the unknown. Likely you had a passion for advanced theoretical sciences /or arts. Then one month, a tiny Black Moon slivered the night sky and it happened. That tiniest beam of light, almost invisible to others, shining like a spotlight for you. Your pulse began to race and you knew it was happening. You were transforming. But without your clan and their full moon protection, how would you survive?

Only you know the full story but if this happens to you on this Black Moon, have no fear. The Akashas will be searching for you, prepared to make you a Chaotic proposition. On second thought… some fear is healthy. There are enough rumours about the Akasha guild practices swirling around. If even a fraction of them are true, it’s more than enough to justify a little fear when they approach you with an offer on this Black Moon. Does any of this describe you? If so, know today that a Black Moon rises in less than 48 hours now. Some say it will call mainly Ice Werewolves, Death & Bone Werewolves and Lightning Werewolves but many reports exist of Chaos Werewolves from other moons too.

Powerful Ice Moon Makes Halos

Ice Clans Celebrate Powerful Ice Moon

When the moon glows with an ice halo like this one last night, Ice Werewolves everywhere glow with its power.IceMoon

If you are an Ice Werewolf then you know about the ice halo that forms around your moon and even around your person this month. It grows stronger and more visible as your moon rises.

You catch glimpses of it in your reflection. It grows stronger and more visible as your moon rises.

Sometimes other people will see it too. They may even comment on it and you may worry about giving yourself away but you learn to let them think the source is your good health, or your pale skin maybe, or maybe even being in love.

By the time the Ice Moon is full though, everyone will be able to see your ice halo, as this UK news photographer did last night. Photographs make the ice halo especially visible. As a result, many Ice Werewolves tend to hide from snapshots during their moon.

But what is this ice halo exactly and what powers does it hold for the Ice Werewolf?

Ask one if you dare, but they probably won’t tell you. Certainly not everything. Ice Clan members are cool conversationalists at best and when it comes to their icy secrets they can be downright cold.

Only one thing you can be sure about and it’s this. When the world witnesses a powerful halo like this one on the Ice Moon, there will be many new Ice Werewolves glowing around the globe.

What Makes the Harvest Moon Sing?

How did the Harvest Moon become the Singing Moon?

On the Harvest Moon, Singing Werewolves everywhere prepare to howl for three nights in a row as they celebrate their moon.

If you aren’t a Singing Wolf, you may be wondering, why is this moon, referred to by half the humans on Earth as the Harvest Moon, known as the Singing Moon for some werewolves?

You’ll find the answer lies in the history of farmers and werewolves of yore.

As everyone knows, the Harvest Moon is the bright low-hanging moon rising over the farmers’ fields tonight, when farmers in the Northern Hemisphere would race to bring in the crops before winter. It’s also the equinox, when the nights have begun to stretch out and steal a farmers’ valuable daylight once again, making it harder to finish the harvest.

Over these ancient fields, the Harvest Moon rose like a big orange nightlight to help the farmers see their work. By Harvest Moonlight, the farmers could work all night, as long as they could stay awake.

This is where the singing part comes in. In the days before coffee and energy drinks, these overworked farmers had to do something to stay awake. And the werewolves who lived among the farmers used their unique vocal powers to help out in this unusual way, by using their deadly howl in song. The werewolves sang to the farmers, “talking” to them and keeping them awake.

Scaring them awake, some would say. Some thought the werewolves were singing down the moon. Others farmers understood that the werewolves were trying to help, not trying to cause the moon to crash into the earth and they began to sing along. Some farmers even started leaving out big bowls of grain for the werewolves to thank them and keep them near.

Even the humans who didn’t really understand, could see that there was a kind of harvest peace between the species that needs to be respected. That’s why among rural werewolves, it’s still a tradition to greet the new Singing Wolves and join the farmers on their Harvest Moon or as we call it, the Singing Moon.

So if you are a Singing Wolf, have a happy howling harvest moon and enjoy your bowls of grain! You can read more about the Singing Moon here.

Interview With Bone Werewolf Archie Hartigan

The Bone Moon – or Storm Moon as it is sometimes called – is rising in the Northern Hemisphere, so Lupine Life welcomed this email from our friend renowned supernatural expert Seth Greening over at Seth On Survival offering to share an excerpt of his recent adventures with a real life Bone Werewolf named Archie Hartigan. He promises us the full story will be out, “Soon. Ish.”

Seth Greening: First, what’s with the Twitter feed. I know you Bone Werewolves are not famous for your great howls, but are you telling me that you need Twitter to communicate now?

Archie Hartigan: Not exactly. It’s more just how me and my friends communicate.

Seth Greening: Your human friends?

Archie Hartigan: Mostly.

Seth Greening: Yeah about that. What’s with your friend Pete?  Why does he like oatmeal so much anyway?

Archie Hartigan: I don’t know if I’m allowed to say right now. You’ll have to clear it with him first.

Seth Greening: Okay okay I get it. Secret. Fine. Well then what can you tell me about your first transformation?

Archie Hartigan: Nothing much.

Seth Greening: Because it’s a secret?

Archie Hartigan: No because I don’t remember. All I remember is I woke up in a secure containment facility that looked like a hospital and my friends Pete and Nell told me they got it all on video. They made me watch it. At first I didn’t believe it was me. Then I thought it was a big joke they were playing because I didn’t even go full wolf, just like furious, drooling wolf-man.

Seth Greening: What finally convinced you the video was real?

Archie Hartigan: Raven.

Seth Greening: You’re friends with Raven? I know her! She’s a were-maid? Or mer-wolf who splits her time on the full moons between being a werewolf and a mermaid?

Archie Hartigan: No, I mean Raven, a bird. One just appeared and suddenly I could talk to her. It.

Seth Greening: Oh. What do Ravens like to talk about?

Archie Hartigan: Well they speak in poetry so sometimes it’s hard to figure out. But they land on your shoulder and talk right into your ear.

Seth Greening: That sounds pretty cool.

Archie Hartigan: Yeah. Anyway, because I couldn’t talk to ravens before the full moon I figured that maybe Pete was telling me the truth.

Seth Greening: So have you figured out how to control your transformations yet?

Archie Hartigan: Not 100%. Raven keeps bringing me things and I keep trying but so far I  can’t predict it. Will I be a full wolf? Or a wolf man? Or just like, have one paw that I have to hide in a sling until the full moon is over…? I never know.

Seth Greening: What do you mean Raven keeps bringing you things? What kind of things?

Archie Hartigan: Like all kinds of things. Pieces of string, something that looked like a pearl, a chicken bone… you name it. At first I thought they were all for me, all like, important objects. Then I figured out Raven was also trying to build a nest in the corner of the roof under my bedroom window. But she made it clear that she is looking for something called [insert incomprehensible bird sounds here]. It will help me control my transformations.

Seth Greening: Is there a human translation for that?

Archie Hartigan: Not really.

Seth Greening: Is it similar to the Eye of Ghicah’los that you just….

Archie Hartigan: Seth I warned you not to bring that up.

Seth Greening: Sorry. Sometimes I can’t help myself.

Archie Hartigan: Yeah. I noticed that. I just hope nobody heard you.

Seth Greening: Me too.

Archie Hartigan: I better go. The moon is almost full and Raven says there’s a Poe outbreak in progress. We have to stop it.

Seth Greening: I understand. I heard about that too. Thanks for stopping by SOS HQ tonight.

Archie Hartigan: Anytime. Keep on keeping on Seth.

Seth Greening: Thanks I’ll try. You too.

Look for more about the adventures of Archie Hartigan as told to Seth Greening on the next full moon…

Ice Moon Werewolves Seek Key to Icy Universe

Well the Ice Moon is rising but if you are an Ice Werewolf, chances are good you won’t be staying locked up for the next 72 hours. Not that you don’t want to hang out in your crib. It goes without saying that Ice Werewolves like you have the coolest cribs in chill locations around the globe.

(Some even believe that you crib on other icy planets, like Saturn’s ice moon Enceladus, see below. Enceladus is covered entirely by different forms of ice.)

Ice Werewolves know that ice is everywhere in the universe.

Ice Werewolves like you tend to build your cribs out of crystal materials on the dimensional cracks of existence. As a result your crib is translucent to prying eyes, almost invisible to outsiders,  while the inside is in a constant state of flux. In fact, depending on the time of year, your crystal crib could be huge, with 12 rooms or it could have only one big room. Until you understand the crystalline patterns of the icy universe, you never know how big your crib will be on any moon so be careful not to leave valuables inside! You might not see them for a whole a year!

Even more complicated, sometimes you – and the whole crib – will disappear too. Especially on the full moon, you will have a tendency to slip through the cracks of the crystal ice structure of the universe and travel through space and time.

This is because Ice Werewolves were among the first to discover this truth about the universe, how it froze into existence leaving these invisible ice-like cracks everywhere in space and time. Crack patterns that Ice Werewolves study and learn to manipulate.

Back when many scientists still believed that ice could only be found on earth, you Ice Werewolves knew the truth, that ice was everywhere in the universe. How the very structure of ice is the structure of the universe itself. The Ice Moonlight in your veins enables you to learn to “hear” the vibration of all the different kinds of ice and see the crystal structures and how to use them.

Before you knew that you were an Ice Werewolf, you might have wondered why you could chill people out or stop them cold in their tracks with just the sound of your voice. Or why even in human form, you could stand so still that other people couldn’t see you, even if you stood right in front of their eyes. Or you might have wondered if you could slow time and spent hours experimenting, staring at a clocks or people, trying different ways to slow them down.

Well wonder no more. To you Ice Werewolves, all of these things are possible, with time and study. Ice Werewolves were the founding clan of the Akasha Alliance and still count among the strongest members. Every year that you train with them, your powers will get stronger. You will learn all the different powers and structures of ice and how to use this to achieve your goals.

Just try not to make any enemies of Frost Werewolves. Don’t listen when the Frosties tell you to spend more time flinging frost darts and icicles and less time staring down the true structure of things. This rivalry is not helpful, especially when you actually have so much in common.

Secret Moonlight Meeting of Oak Werewolves and Faeries

Oak Werewolves and Faeries meet in the forest on the full moon.

The full Oak Moon tonight is a very special and dangerous time for Oak Werewolves. If you are an Oak Werewolf, you will be asked to journey to a certain tree, deep in the forest for a very special moonlight meeting. A meeting in the deepest, darkest part of the woods between Oak Werewolves and the faery folk who work together to preserve a magic flame.

For an Oak Werewolf like you, it will all begin with a secret signal from the faery tree. Remember that strange bracelet or keychain you have? It is probably made of wood or else it has a tree on it and maybe looks something like this one?

Oak Werewolves have an object or talisman like this one to help them.

Well can you remember where it came from? You can try to remember but chances are you can’t remember their face. Because it is a faery talisman that is given to Oak Werewolves like you. It is a very powerful talisman that gives you special powers, along with special responsibilities.

One Oak Moon like this one, the talisman will begin to glow with a signal from the faery tree.

Don’t be afraid when it starts to glow. As the moon waxes bigger and bigger in the sky above, the signal will grow stronger and your oak pendant will glow brighter.

This signal is from the faery tree telling the Oak Werewolves where to meet. You must travel to the meeting tree. You will run wolf at night and sleep in human form during the day.

As an Oak Werewolf, you must learn very quickly how to identify the best trees for sleeping before the sun rises. They may look small and cramped from the outside but if you can find the entrance, marked by a certain knot before the sun comes up, you will find a place inside that is better than the best hotel room in the world! There will be a warm hammock and all the hot chocolate you can drink. And in the morning you can have pancakes with tree syrup, the most delicious and filling breakfast you can have at this time of year. But no sleeping in! Remember you must get to the tree before midnight on the second night of the full moon. That’s when the secret meeting begins.

As you get closer and closer to the secret tree, your talisman will glow brighter and burn with a kind of cold heat on your skin. Don’t be afraid, this just means you are on the right path.

You will know that you have arrived when you see the biggest, oldest tree in the forest, full of faeries behind every branch, who wait for you with glowing eyes and shifting faces. Don’t be afraid of them. They can’t leave the tree. And besides, they are more afraid of you than you are of them. Faeries are terrified of werewolves. But they made this deal with your clan because you are the only beings on earth they will trust to help keep the flame of their warring world alive.

As an Oak Werewolf, you don’t help the faery realm alive because the faeries give you special powers. Although they do give you special powers. Powers you can channel with your talisman. But that’s not why you help them. You help them because you know that if their world is lost to the forces of cold and darkness, then our world will fall soon after.

One last thing. If you are a new werewolf and you have never made the Oak Moon journey before, you must not try to to it alone. You will never make it. You will get lost in the woods or freeze to death trying to find a warm tree to sleep in. You must make your first Oak Moon journey with an experience Oak Werewolf who will bring you on the moon of your first transformation. If you haven’t made the journey yet, be patient. It won’t be long!

The Frost Moon Gift

One werewolf clan received an angel gift.

If you have the free Lupine Life app, or if you are a Frost Werewolf yourself, then you already know the Frost Moon is rising high in the sky tonight and tomorrow night. But do you know the true story of how the Frost Werewolves first received this moon and its chill powers as a reward for helping the angels?

If not, then read on!

As everyone knows, angels and werewolves are mortal enemies. Or more specifically, fallen angels and werewolves are mortal enemies. But if you, like me, have been taught that a certain kind of werewolf was bred and trained to hunt angels – you need to know the real story. It’s the Fallen who hate us and started hunting us. But why?

Well start by thinking about it from a Fallen Angel’s point of view. Day by day the Fallen are forced to watch their wings turn black and fall off, feather by feather across the centuries as their holy powers fade. Year by year, their connection with the divine fades, and their souls begin to rot right along with their wings. A black gloom oozes out of them.

As a result, Fallen Angels try everything they can to preserve and resurrect their powers. How? Well lots of ways. For starters, they fight to defeat the Angels of Heaven, every opportunity they get. When they succeed, a Fallen will take the precious feather of light from the angel’s heavenly wings. When they lose, the Fallen is turned to stone until they can be freed, sometimes for centuries.

Fallen angels also scour the earth for special artifacts – a certain harp, a special trumpet, a bell. Anything mentioned in any prophesy, anywhere: the Bible, the Koran, the Kabbalah, any holy book will do when you are watching your soul light turn to black smoke minute by minute.

But that’s not all. Some Fallen Angels have even turned to science and employ some of the best scientists in the world specializing in wing replacement and gene therapy.

So you can imagine what the first Fallen Angels thought about us werewolves. How we can regain our powers every month and heal between full moons. How we can pass as human and live peacefully with them. How we can train ourselves to transform on demand and choose to do good, even those of us who have a curse. They hate us for that, and want to understand how to use our powers for themselves.

That’s the true story and the real reason that a certain Alliance of werewolves has dedicated their existence to fight the Fallen. Not the other way around. But this story is not about the Fallen. This story is about the Frost Wolves and how they got their moon and their powers.

Well it was this time of year when a new prophesy had Heaven and Earth talking. A heavenly baby was to be born to a simple couple named Mary and Joseph. The Angels of Heaven knew right away the Fallen would try to steal this baby or worse, stop this baby being born. Now protecting a harp or a statue is one thing, protecting a baby is another thing all together!

The Angels called a conclave to prepare for the fight. Their intelligence showed the Fallen would stop at nothing to get this baby. To make matters worse, the baby would be born at the darkest time of the year. Even worse, the couple would be traveling by donkey to Bethlehem, because of a census. Finally one of the Angels named Adnachiel, proposed a radical solution. What if they made a deal with the werewolves? Who better to help fight the Fallen Angels?

So a deal was made with a certain clan. The clan didn’t even ask for anything in return because more than anything, they wanted to see the Fallen defeated. From the shadows everywhere, an entire clan of werewolves escorted Mary and Joseph on their journey, day and night. It was werewolves who fought in the shadows to clear the way for the Angels of Heaven to sing their blessings and bring their gifts to the baby Jesus.

When it was all over, the angel Adnachiel thanked the clan and insisted they accept a gift from him. Expecting maybe a crappy sweater, the werewolves said okay, only to receive something truly incredible: the November moon and the powers of frost. Just remember, frost looks like angels’ wings, Adnachiel reminded them.

And that’s how Frost Werewolves became unsung Christmas heroes and friends of the angels forever. So if you are a Frost Werewolf, thanks for helping to save the first Christmas. Who knows what would have happened if the Fallen had got their hands on that baby.
